Devil In Dune

The film tells the story of a near future in which the earth is irreversibly sandy, as human emissions and rubbish exceed its carrying capacity. As plants and animals mutate to create the Earth's new masters, the "sand worms", which are slaughtering the planet and driving humans to the brink of extinction, the survivors are left to their own devices to find the only remaining refuge in the deep desert, the "Oasis". Maintenance by Any Means

"Maintenance by any Means" is about two maintenance men vying for the position of maintenance supervisor in an apartment complex. The maintenance men must compete with each other in order to get the job left open by the former Maintenance Supervisor. They need evaluations by the people who live at the apartments for every work order they finish. The problem is the renters themselves. Each one they run into has their own set of interesting problems. The maintenance men soon discover that a positive review may be hard to come by. Fixing broken down items in the apartments is the least of their worries. Finally one of the maintenance men must win the contest, by any means.

For re_potemkin project, sergei eisenstein’s film “battleship potemkin” was re-produced by 105 students of basic design course at yildiz technical university, faculty of art and design, during december 2006 and January 2007 in 15 groups, following the original shots of eisenstein using crowdsourcing model. original script was translated to turkish from russian original and english translations. bilingual intertitles and an original soundtrack were also prepared for the film as well as a project poster and a web site, all using crowdsourcing model.

“Plasma Vista” allowed the artists to explore themes of economics, production, creativity and collaboration. Objects and devices become bodily and manipulative. The magician is a composed cartoon machine repeating tricks and equations. When products become prosthetics does the accessory take some emotional control? A creative trance. A collaborative force. A playful duplication of the self with greater consequence that first suspected. A filmic exhibit and retail site that morphed into an experimental piece of moving image occupying the dual space between utility and art.

Sonic Youth: Koncertas Stan Brakhage Prisiminimui (April 12, 2003)

Filmed April 12, 2003 at a benefit concert held at and for The Anthology Film Archives, the international center for the preservation, study, and exhibition of avant-garde and independent cinema. In addition to screening films for the public, AFA houses a film museum, research library and art gallery. The event, which raised money for the Archives and celebrated the life and work of avant-garde film maker Stan Brakhage, featured Sonic Youth providing an improvised instrumental collaboration with silent Brakhage’s films. The band performed with drummer/percussionist Tim Barnes (Essex Green, Jukeboxer, Silver Jews).
