Der Zürich-Krimi: Borchert und der Schuss ins Herz

A covered-up family tragedy and criminal machinations surrounding arms deals are at the center of the 22nd "Zurich Crime". Borchert must tie up the loose ends of a case whose tragic tone hits the unconventional investigator personally.

Zuzia – 12, has been training vaulting for two years and has extraordinary role topping the acrobatic pyramid. She is «flyer» lifted by the stronger and more experienced vaulters-«base». Another intensive season begins. During training sessions it becomes apparent that the girl has lost some of her grace and lightnes. At first the coach blames the «base» but they admit that Zuzia is to big to lift her. It became clear that she is «just growing» and her role is given over to a younger girl.

The background to, events of and consequences of the Battle of Mers-El-Kebir on 3 July 1940. In that battle, Royal Navy ships fired on the French Fleet in order to prevent it from falling into German hands. A French battleship was sunk and several other ships damaged. Nearly 1,300 French sailors were killed.
