The Berliner Philharmoniker’s New Year’s Eve Concert: 2017
The annual New Year’s Eve Concert is one of the highlights in the calendar of every classical music fan in Berlin and beyond. On New Year‘s Eve, the Berliner Philharmoniker invite an exceptional soloist for a festive gala. Together, the musicians bid farewell to the old year and welcome the new. When Max (Eric Stoltz), urged on by "Risk Management," a self-help book for the hapless, decides to approach his fellow ferry-commuter Rory (Susanna Thompson), he hopes simply saying hello might change his life for the better. But Rory only accepts contact by contract. Max finds he can play along. As the two negotiate a whirlwind relationship on paper, Rory slowly lets down her guard; but when her unresolved personal life intervenes in the form of Donald (Kevin Tighe), Max must manage a little more risk than he bargained on.
A Sober Sparrow
Sparrow was invited to a banquet. He came and at first tried to drink only soda. The neighbor noticed this and was indignant. Tamada poured a glass for sparrow and made him drink, then poured more and more. Then the guests began to sing, dance, and all ended by beating dishes. Absolutely drunk sparrow was getting home staggering and with loud singing, than woke up all the neighbors. He smashed to bits someone's nestling and fell. Sparrow was summoned to the public court, where former guests accused him of all sins.

A story about several hours, which significantly change the adolescent boy's life. In a small town in Latvia, there is an old Ferris wheel near a bar, in which the protagonist meets a female truck driver, and soon the wheel of fate of the adolescent boy is set in motion.
