Some try to escape, others are willing to do anything to survive, but most are prepared to protect their city from the relentless storms of the Mongolian hordes.

It was the third annual Battleground held for the promotion's developmental brand NXT, and the eighth Battleground overall. The event occurred during Memorial Day weekend on Sunday, May 25, 2025, at the Yuengling Centre in Tampa, Florida. This was the first Battleground to air on Netflix in most international markets, and it was the first NXT livestreaming event to take place in Tampa.
