•De Matadero A Vivero is an audiovisual piece by the artist Fernando Sánchez Castillo that covers the hundred-year history of the building of Matadero Madrid, from its inauguration in 1924 to the current moment as a cultural container, through the Civil War, the post-war and other moments of disuse. The project arises as a commission from the Center for Artistic Residences of Matadero within the framework of the celebration of the Centenary and is based on historical documentation, dialogues with historians, sociologists and people who have been linked to this space in its different stages.
