Catherine Tate: Laughing at the Noughties

Sketch-show sensation Catherine Tate tells the story of the decade in which she became a household name. She meets with comedy glitterati Alan Carr, David Walliams, Noel Fielding, Rob Brydon and her Doctor Who co-star, David Tennant, all of whom reflect on the greatest comedy moments in recent history. As well as showcasing all the most entertaining, memorable comedy of the time, the documentary also features newsreel and pop culture archive that contextualises the gags. It reveals not just what was funny, but why it was funny. Catherine's journey provides new insight and revelations and features anecdotes from some of the biggest names in comedy.

Esprit D'Amour

Joe Chan (Julian Cheung), an Pay-TV office manager, mourns the death of wife-to-be Winnie Tsang (Loletta Lee), while a spirit causes trouble for a pair of wrongdoers set on taking over the station. A not-so-literate taxi driver Shing Wai-lin (Simon Loui) visits a tarot reader after his girlfriend leaves him. Her Aunt Ha (Helen Law Lan), meanwhile, senses a dark force drawn to the flat's dark hallway.

The Little Death

In addition to the string of masterpieces he made with the Swedish auteur, von Sydow embodied a wide range of characters in films by art-house titans such as Jan Troell, Lars von Trier, and Wim Wenders, leaving behind a body of work that spans more than six decades and a dozen different countries. He appeared in more than one hundred and fifty films and television series in multiple languages. Max von Sydow received his French citizenship in 2002 and lived in France for the last two decades of his life.

Assumption

Assumption is a virtuosic personal tribute, a glimpse at history and a celebration of independent film culture.
