In 1943, as Hitler continues to wage war across Europe, a group of college students mount an underground resistance movement in Munich. Dedicated expressly to the downfall of the monolithic Third Reich war machine, they call themselves the White Rose. One of its few female members, Sophie Scholl is captured during a dangerous mission to distribute pamphlets on campus with her brother Hans. Unwavering in her convictions and loyalty to the White Rose, her cross-examination by the Gestapo quickly escalates into a searing test of wills as Scholl delivers a passionate call to freedom and personal responsibility.

A Mother
Marie lives alone with her 16 year old son. She struggles to get by with this teenager who gets deeper and deeper in violence and juvenile delinquency. Speaking sentimentally, things are not going better: the relationship with her lover has come to an end. It may seems depressing, but Marie doesn’t give up, even if love seems to be an inaccessible dream. But love, there is. We can feel the affection of this mother for her troublesome child, thanks to Mathilde Seigner, who gives an astonishing performance. A subtle directing, a strong and captivating story, in short: a must see.
Incompreso
Freely taken from the novel "Misunderstood" by Florence Montgomery, "Incompreso" takes place in the second half of the 1950s in Lucca: Edoardo Quaratesi, an important producer of fine wines, while loving his wife Elisa and his two children, Francesco and Mino, is mainly dedicated to his work. To suffer the most from the absence of Edoardo is the firstborn, Francesco, who pours all his unsatisfied need for love on his mother and little brother. After Elisa's death due to a serious illness, the situation at the Quaratesi home gets complicated, until we reach a dramatic epilogue.
Effi Briest
Following her parents' wishes, spirited seventeen-year-old Effi Briest marries Baron von Innstetten – a former admirer of her mother – who is twenty years Effi's senior. This marriage of prudence heralds the beginning of a humdrum life, far from home, for Effi. Innstetten devotes himself entirely to his political career, and the sleepy small town of Kessin has very little to offer in terms of variety. But then, one day, Innstetten's old regimental comrade, Major Crampas – a charming womanizer – arrives on the scene.
