The Girl Who Left Home

After her father's sudden passing, Christine is faced with the complicated past she left behind. With familial obligation and pressure from her mourning mother, Christine must decide to either save the family restaurant or pursue her own dreams.

Before breakfast

A man, whom we don't identify, kills himself with his razor because he can no longer bear the complaints of his wife, whose face we can't see well either. An impressionistic work with very close shots that cut out reality until, for example, the faces of the characters are omitted. A kind of description and brief chronicle of daily life in a house for a few minutes serves as a framework for the irruption of an unusual tragedy. Filmed without sound, it lacks any subsequent dialogue, although a piano band with a jazzy air has been added.

The Secret Six

Bootlegger/cafe owner, Johnny Franks recruits crude working man Scorpio to join his gang, masterminded by crooked criminal defense lawyer Newton. The Thirteenth Chamber

Twelve-year old Kosta, a little boy of an overactive imagination, makes friends with equally sensitive eleven-year old Blanka. Fantasy leads the two children to the forgotten attic in the house of Blanka's parents. For them, this is the forbidden "thirteenth chamber," and to Kosta, an old glass vase becomes a magic ball with the help of which he can play his favorite play "on fate". The children observe the adults and unconsciously sense that something has gone wrong in Blanka's family. Her dad is a physician and her mother is not happy with him, still recollecting her former wooer Petr who left for India upon his graduation.
