This artistic expression sends a shout-out to John Smith, an English avant-garde director. Film is an embodiment of the idea that a person feels safe when he or she has a sense of control.

The invasion of a village in Byelorussia by German forces sends young Florya into the forest to join the weary Resistance fighters, against his family's wishes.
