National Theatre Live: The Beaux Stratagem

The ‘Beaux’: Mr Aimwell and Mr Archer, two charming, dissolute young men who have blown their fortunes in giddy London. Shamed and debt-ridden, they flee to provincial Lichfield. Their ‘Stratagem’: to marry for money. Lodged at the local inn, posing as master and servant, they encounter a teeming variety of human obstacles: a crooked landlord, a fearsome highwayman, a fervent French Count, a maid on the make, a drunken husband, a furious butler, a natural healer and a strange, turbulent priest. But their greatest obstacle is love. When the Beaux meet their match in Dorinda and Mrs Sullen they are most at risk, for in love they might be truly discovered.

National Theatre Live: One Man, Two Guvnors

Fired from his skiffle band, Francis Henshall becomes minder to Roscoe Crabbe, a small time East End hood, now in Brighton to collect £6,000 from his fiancée’s dad. But Roscoe is really his sister Rachel posing as her own dead brother, who’s been killed by her boyfriend Stanley Stubbers. Holed up at The Cricketers’ Arms, the permanently ravenous Francis spots the chance of an extra meal ticket and takes a second job with one Stanley Stubbers, who is hiding from the police and waiting to be re-united with Rachel. To prevent discovery, Francis must keep his two guvnors apart. Simple.

A Very Goth Christmas Story is a horror machinima by Alvin Soprano, set in the world of The Sims 2. The film takes place on Christmas morning in the Goth household shortly after Bella Goth’s mysterious disappearance. It follows Mortimer Goth as he deals with grief, suspicion, and a chilling surprise. On this cold and lonely Christmas, Mortimer wakes up to find a mysterious package left at the front door. With Bella gone and no answers in sight, the gift raises questions — and dread. The story builds tension as Mortimer struggles with loss and the strange presence of Dina Caliente, his mistress. The film’s shocking climax reveals that the package contains Bella’s severed head, sent as a deadly message from Dina, exposing a dark and twisted betrayal within the family.

So he opts for kidnapping their soft spot, Radha, Thakur khandaan's only daughter. Radha is given to understand that Jackie and his gang are police people who have taken her away to the safety of jungles because their house has been invaded by dacoits. The rest of the story is about the gang's camaraderie with Radha in sylvan spots and the discovery of truth by Radha.
