Perfect Plan

As the real estate market is in a downward spiral, beautiful young realtor Lauren Baker gets the listing of a lifetime: a mansion on Chicago's exclusive Gold Coast has fallen into her lap and she is able to quickly find a cash buyer for the brother and sister who are selling their parents' estate. When the vendors turn out to be imposters and the real owners turn up murdered, Lauren realizes that she has fallen victim to a scam as well as a cover up to a murder. Lauren is determined to find out who deceived her and why.

Terrorists in Retirement

Not just another documentary on the French resistance movement, this film focuses on one particular group of underground fighters in France: those from Eastern Europe. Many were Jews and all had fled their native countries before the war broke out. They were among the most staunch and fearless enemies of fascism, as shown here in personal interviews and memoirs of war-time experiences. But the most famous of these immigrants were 23 who were rounded up among several hundred Parisians in 1943, tried for their activities, and executed -- all were immigrants under the leadership of the Armenian poet Manouchian. After their execution, Paris was papered with posters decrying these 23 martyrs as "foreign communists."

Directed by Aleks Lewandowski It’s a typical day in the life of the Deathwish gang. The sessions and locations were influenced by gangs, Hollywood, and Los Angeles culture. It wasn’t much of a stretch because skate crews can be very gang-like to begin with. The Deathwish dudes are a tight-knit crew. Overall, I don’t think this is too far from what these guys are actually like. It’s really close to the truth. You wouldn’t be surprised if you saw Jon Dickson on the beach asleep in the morning.—Skin Phillips
