A musical comedy based on the classic play by Tirso de Molina. A beautiful story about the all-conquering love of proud Spaniards and even prouder Spanish women. A two-part musical comedy in the spirit of "The Dog in the Manger." The actors are amazingly cast, and they played their roles brilliantly. How nice it is to watch such a film in the evening after work, forgetting about everything, stretched out on the sofa. Spain, Madrid, 17th century. A fairly traditional medieval plot: a tyrannical father tries to marry off his beautiful daughter to a rich old man. The girl is forced to announce that she is going to a convent, just to postpone the wedding day...
