When Leonie, Emmas colleague and best friend, dies, she has to take over the nightwatch in the hospital. Emma doesn't believe in Leonie having committed suicide, as everybody assumes, so she tries to investigate herself. Doing that, she finds Leonies diary that documents reports of various encounters of supernatural kind. And all are closely connected to Friedrich Grau, an entrepreneur, who fell in vegetative state, when his little daughter committed suicide.

St. Matthew Passion
Released a few months after the Italian The Passion According to St. Mathew, this Austrian film is, like the earlier effort, based on a theatre piece. But whereas the Italian picture was inspired by Bach's oratorio, St. Mathew's Passion is a filmed record of a newly commissioned State Burgtheatre production. Actor Raoul Aslan movingly recites the biblical story of the last days of Christ, while the Philharmonic Orchestra of Vienna underscores his words. Director Ernst Marischka breaks up the visual monotony of the proceeding by utilizing a montage of photographs and paintings of the Middle Eastern regions where the original story took place. Reviewers felt that St. Mathew's Passion should have been promoted as a documentary rather than a dramatic feature.
Silly Billies
The boys are a dentist and his assistant traveling to the Old West to open a new practice. Once in town, they buy a business--only to wake up the next day and see that the entire population of this bustling town had left for the California gold fields early that morning! Then, they discover an evil plot to sell out these settlers to some hostile Indians, so they spring to the rescue.
