Rodeo

Shot in four days during the 1968 National Rodeo Finals in Oklahoma City, this lyrical documentary takes you inside the arena atop a 2800 lb bull. Watch Freckles Brown, a legendary cowboy, conferring with a young Larry Mahan, the previous year's champion and see crowd favorite Myrtis Dightman trying to hold his own in a dramatic ride. "Rodeo" shows the classic struggle of man against beast, a matter of life and death. Dick Rosmini's hypnotizing folk-fusion soundtrack and an intricate sound mix add to the climatic result.

White Wolf

A gray wolf raised on a farm kills the family dog, and to save him from being destroyed, a boy named Lasset makes a trek through the wilderness with the wolf to a wilderness sanctuary 300 miles to the north. The BGM in the film consists entirely of Dvorak's Serenade for Strings, making it perhaps the only anime since Gauche the Cellist to make use of a single piece of classical music as the soundtrack. The plot of the film is simple and the outcome obvious, but the atmosphere of the film is genuine, and it is very moving in parts thanks to Dvorak's music (which is scored entirely for the most emotional of the instrument groups, the strings). This is a straightforward drama about the friendship between a boy and his wolf, and it pushes all the buttons you'd expect, but it's very enjoyable despite all that.

Loggers

The life and work of Asko and Myrsky in a snowy forest. Asko is a man, Myrsky (Storm) is a horse. During wintertime they make their living working as loggers in the small suburbian forests of the metropolitan area. The work is hard and the days are long. "The man and his horse only have each other for company. Loggers is a film about collaboration between man and animal, and about nearly extinct traditional work set in the 21st century landscape. But above all it is the filmmaker's tribute to steaming testosterone in the freezing cold air.

Mission Air

Mother and son, Diane and Michael Ireland have just completed another successful medial mission trip to Mexico. Caring for children, delivering supplies, and of course Michael's cherished time with Marisol, the love of his life. The plane arrives to take them home to Mission Air, their home in Texas, when a group of bandits attack in an effort to steal the plane. The bandits now formulate a plan to kidnap the Ireland's daughter and the crew must risk everything to save Sophie. There is a skirmish that ensues and the Irelands must rely on being protected by the armor of God in an effort to bring Sophie home. Action/Adventure that leaves you on the edge of your seat combined with faith and courage.
