Two planes hijacked by supporters of the Islamist terrorist network al-Qaeda crashed into the towers of New York's World Trade Center. A third plane flew into the Pentagon, another was crashed in Pennsylvania. Almost 3,000 people have to die. Contemporary witnesses recount the experiences of September 11th from their perspective.
