Gentleman

Hyun-soo, a C.E.O of a private detective agency, visits a pension with a client asking for her dog. While waiting outside of pension, he is falsely accused of kidnapping the client. During the arrest Hyun-soo, a serious car accident occurs and people misunderstand Hyun-soo as a prosecutor instead of a suspect. To find the real criminal, Hyun-soo pretends to be a prosecutor. Hwa-jin is an elite prosecutor but demoted to the provinces while trying to catch a law firm conglomerate Do-hoon, who colluded with the prosecutor’s leadership, meets Hyun-soo. Hwa-jin finds out the case is related to Do-hoon, she begins cooperating with Hyun-soo. While cooperating is on-going, they realize that there is a dirty truth behind the crime.

Jaidev Anand is a celebrity, and lives a fairly isolated life. One day he comes to the rescue of a young woman, Vandana Acharya, and falls in love with her. Then the jeep in which Abhimanyu and Vandana were traveling is attacked by an assailant named D.K., and as a result Abhimanyu gets killed. Jaidev is sorry for Vandana, but gets his hopes up enough to propose to her, and to his joy, she accepts. The plans are on for an early marriage, but before that could happen Vandana meets a single mother, Gayetri, and her son. It is then she finds out that Jaidev is already married, and also has a son. What possible reason could Jaidev have for not sharing this information with Vandana?

One of the most outstanding personalities in the Danish film industry is Mogens Rukov, co-writer of Thomas Vinterberg's dogma-film The Celebration (Cannes, 1998, winner of the Jury Price) and head of the Department for Scriptwriting at the Danish Filmschool. Flemming Lyngse has made a film with rather than about Mogens Rukov. This is a film with a moving man - professionally as well as personally.

Herr Pierre Van Groot owns two barges. Van Groot, his wife, and his sister-in-law navigate along the north channels between Belgium and France. Herr Pierre transports construction material in his barges but he earns extra francs trafficking in diamonds, which he hides in the boat’s rudder. Pierre engages a new first mate, Michel, who gets wise to the diamond smuggling. The film was shot in 1920, but only shown once in its 80 minute entirety at a private screening in 1924.
