While covering the annual Nobel Banquet for tabloid Kvällspressen, crime reporter Annika Bengtzon witnesses a spectacular murder right in front of her. Two people are shot, one of them the controversial Laureate in Medicine, Aaron Wiesel. Annika is the key witness and is bound by the police not to disclose anything she has seen. A terrorist group with connections to the Middle East quickly admits responsibility for the murder. International press is all over the story, as are the police.

We find Erica and her husband Patrik right in the middle of preparing everything to celebrate Christmas in their house for the first time. On the 13th of December the family goes to church to watch the Lucia celebration only to find out that the Lucia has gone missing. Erica who notices a dispute in the audience can't help herself but to try and find out what the fight was really about and what could have happened to the missing Lucia. The past catches up with the present as Erica's discoveries leads to the missing Lucia, a secret love affair and a son seeking revenge for his mother.

Annika Bengtzon: Crime Reporter - Prime Time
It is Midsummer's Eve and ten people are on a deserted castle for a TV recording. The next morning the program leader is shot dead. Kvällspressens Annika Bengtzon a mandate to monitor the murder, but she soon learns that her best friend Anne Snapphane is one of the ten suspects. When the police released all one after another - all except Anne - it becomes personal for Bengtzon who will do anything to exonerate her friend.
